Bittersweet news…Prefer Health is moving to Bend!

Dearest Prefer Health Family,

I'm reaching out to share some enormous and bittersweet news - my family will be relocating to Bend, OR this summer, and as such, Prefer Health will also be on the move. My last day in my current space will be July 31. I am actively seeing patients and still have availability on my schedule until then, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to get on the schedule.

The relationships that I've developed over the past 4 years mean the world to me, and it has been such an honor to walk with each of you along your healing path over these years. I have the deepest admiration for each of you. Taking an active role in your personal health (otherwise known as "self-care") is a radical act. Each time that it is made, it germinates wellness not only  within yourself, but also within your families, communities, cities, and across the world at large. I will continue to be your cheerleader, and cannot encourage you enough to keep doing the work of investing in yourself.

Bend is about 3 hours from Portland, and I certainly expect that for many of you, this will mean goodbye for now. However, I do want to take this opportunity to remind you that virtual consultations are an active part of my practice, and I would love to stay an active part of your care team for those of you that this option makes sense. Virtual consultations are often covered by insurance and are an incredible way to take deeper dives into your personal health care routines and take advantage of the incredible breadth and scope of Chinese medicine that lies outside of acupuncture treatment. Somewhere in between "health coaching" and therapy, previous virtual consults have covered nutritional plans and guidance, stretching and qigong practices, herbal consultations and prescriptions, and exploration of thought-pattern restructuring within the context of Chinese medical theory. 

I have heard from some of you that the Bend area is an area that you frequently visit, and it would be a great joy to see you at my next practice if and when the stars align to fit in a treatment when you are in the area! I do not yet have my future location in Bend finalized, however I will follow up with this information as soon as I do. 

If you have been seen on an active basis within the past 3 months, please expect to receive an email before July 31 with suggestions for specific referral. If this doesn't describe you, but you would still like an individualized referral, please let know by sending me an email. I am also currently compiling a general list of my go-to Chinese medicine practitioners in the area, please expect to find that in a follow-up email to be sent before my final close date.
